Hatch time by world setting and egg size
| World | Value | Egg | Large egg | Huge egg |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Easy world | 0.5 | 2 min 30 s | 15 min | 30 min |
| Normal world | 1 | 5 min | 30 min | 1 h |
| Hard world | 2 | 10 min | 1 h | 2 h |
| Old server default | 72 | 6 h | 36 h | 72 h |
Datamined codeDerived from the game code, not from a data table. Hours to hatch a Huge egg before temperature and incubator bonuses. We work out the time for each egg size from this value and have not timed it in game. Game dataRead directly from the game data tables. hatch hours = preset / divisor / temperature multiplier / incubator multiplier. The world value is the huge-egg time in hours. Large eggs take 1/2 of it and normal eggs 1/12.
Details: server settings
Server owners set this as PalEggDefaultHatchingTime. Dedicated servers set up before 1.0 used 72 hours, and a server that kept its old config still does.
The 1.0 changelog says incubation was halved on new Normal and Hard worlds. A world started before 1.0 can still use its old value.
Egg size comes from rarity
The size comes from the rarity table in the game settings. Astralym has no egg in the data.

UnverifiedNot confirmed by game data or testing yet. Egg types are inferred: each Pal's egg is named after its first element. The game settings map every element to an egg and also list two other eggs, the Ominous Egg (World Tree) and the Mutated Egg. No table we have says which Pals hatch from those two, or which element a dual-element Pal's egg uses. No table says which egg a Pal hatches from. We list each Pal under its first element's egg, so treat this as a likely match.

Game dataRead directly from the game data tables. Game settings: BP_PalGameSetting PalEggMapObjectIdMap. The game settings map each of the 9 elements to one egg object. Two more are for the World Tree and for mutations.
Each egg type covers exactly one first element.

Ominous and Mutated eggs
-
Ominous Egg
"A mysterious egg imbued with the energy of the World Tree."
-
Mutated Egg
"An egg that is extremely rarely obtained, having undergone a special mutation."
Game dataRead directly from the game data tables. Egg items in the game's item list. No table we have says which Pals hatch from these two. Mutation odds: breeding cakes.
Temperature
- ×2 Level 0 30 min
- ×1.5 Level 1 40 min
- ×1 Level 2 to 3 1 h
- ×0.75 Level 4 to 8 1 h 20 min
Game dataRead directly from the game data tables. The incubator's comfort is a level from 0 to 8, and each level divides the hatch time. Datamined codeDerived from the game code, not from a data table. Hours to hatch a Huge egg before temperature and incubator bonuses. We work out the time for each egg size from this value and have not timed it in game. Times are for a huge egg on a Normal world.
At the best level a huge egg takes 30 min and a small egg 2 min 30 s. The data does not say if this stacks with an incubator's bonus.

Passives that help: Babysitter and Philanthropist
- Babysitter (only on mutated Pals): While at a base, increases egg production speed by +30% and incubation speed by +30% for Pals assigned to a Breeding Farm.
- Philanthropist: When assigned to a Breeding Farm, breeding speed is increased by 100%.
To breed these onto a Pal: breeding for passives and the passive calculator.
What is not known
Not in the game tables
- UnverifiedNot confirmed by game data or testing yet. How often the Breeding Farm lays an egg, and how fast the Ancient Hatchery works.
- The speed bonus of each incubator, so the times above leave incubators out.
- Whether temperature and incubator bonuses multiply or add.
- Which Pals hatch from an Ominous Egg, and whether every egg follows the first element.
