How passives pass to an egg

  1. The parents' passives go into one pool, and the egg inherits 1, 2, 3 or 4 of them, with chances of 40%, 30%, 20%, 10% Datamined code. It never inherits more than the pool holds.
  2. Then 0 to 3 random passives may be added, with chances of 40%, 30%, 20%, 10% Datamined code, up to 4 passives in total.
  3. Special Cake: The egg always inherits 4 of the parents' passives, or all of them if they have fewer. It also inherits every active skill both parents have equipped.

The child species is the same as without a cake.

  • "Has all wanted" counts eggs that carry every passive you ticked, with or without extras.
  • "Exactly these" counts eggs that carry those passives and nothing else.

Passives that are never added at random (for example species-only or World Tree passives) can only come from a parent.

How we know Datamined code

The inherit and random-add weights are game settings. The order the game applies them in comes from the game code (what the labels mean).

To stack the passives you want over a few generations, read the passive breeding guide.
